A Hopkinsville man is facing a first-degree robbery charge following an incident on Charlie Court early Monday morning.
According to the report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, two victims were inside of a residence on Charlie Court at approximately 12:30 a.m. when they were approached by 22-year-old Taquavion Coleman of Hopkinsville. Coleman reportedly told one of the victims to “give it up”.
The victim reportedly feared for his life and handed over a handgun to Coleman, who then allegedly tried to stop the victim from leaving.
The victim was able to make it out of the apartment, and allegedly heard several gun shots as he was leaving the scene.
Coleman was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.
