A woman was severely injured in a vehicle versus train collision on East Seventh Street Monday afternoon.
It happened around 4 p.m. when a vehicle and a CSX train collided at the railroad crossing on East Seventh Street. The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating, but Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Lt. Payton Rogers says a female victim sustained severe injuries to her arm and was transported to Tennova Healthcare for treatment.
Several railroad crossings were closed in Hopkinsville for sometime as agencies investigated.
