Oak Grove officer credited with saving a woman’s life

An Oak Grove Police Officer is being credited with saving a woman’s life.

It all happened on Tuesday, according to the Oak Grove Police Department, when Sergeant Michael Platero responded to a call about an unconscious person at a residence on Mandarin Drive who was having a medical emergency.

Upon arrival, Sgt. Platero assessed the victim’s state and provided immediate medical attention—officials say his quick actions resulted in the female victim’s resuscitation and ultimately saved her life. 

The victim is expected to make a full recovery. 

Officials say Sgt. Platero’s actions are the definition of the highest level of professionalism and dedication to serving the community with distinction.
