Murder suspects, Tyron Holt and Omega Plaisime, appeared in Christian Circuit Court on Wednesday where new attorneys have joined the case.
Holt is charged with complicity to murder and Plaisime is charged with murder in the 2022 shooting death of 18-year-old Gailon Toler.
In court, Plaisime was arraigned on additional charges after he reportedly violated the terms of his ankle monitor release in March. Plaisime is now represented by defense attorney Olivia Adams who says she has a lot of evidence to revise.
Former Graves County Commonwealth’s Attorney Richie Kemp will now be prosecuting the case.
Plaisime’s former attorney filed an order for him to undergo a mental evaluation with the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center. Circuit Judge Andrew Self told Adams that the order could be amended so that Plaisime could possibly receive an evaluation from another agency if KCPC is unable to do so in a timely manner.
Holt and Plaisime will reappear in court on July 23 for another pretrial conference.
