It was a tough night on the softball diamond for the Christian County Lady Colonels, who dropped a 10-0 game to No. 9-ranked McCracken County Friday in the Slugfest at South Marshall.
The Lady Mustangs scored seven runs in the top of the second inning to blow the game open. McCracken used four hits and a pair of Lady Colonels’ errors to do the damage.
Christian County was held to only three hits on the night. Talyn Ezell, Alondra Rodriguez, and Chloe Almy each had a single.
The Lady Mustangs added two runs in the top of the fourth inning and one in the top of the seventh.
Christian County slipped to 11-6-1 on the season and is scheduled to play No. 24 Graves County Saturday morning and No. 2-ranked Daviess County at 11 a.m.
