University Heights Academy celebrated its senior baseball players and track members before their baseball game against Henderson County Thursday night.
Then the seniors did senior things and led the Blazers to a 9-1 win over the Colonels.
Senior Thomas Hallmark had a two-run single in the fourth that gave the Blazers a 3-1 lead. Senior Hayden Hunt had a pair of doubles in the game.
And senior Ryan Luckey, who also runs track for UHA, tossed a complete-game three-hitter to pick up the pitching win.
Cadence Gibson and AJ Hogart each had a pair of hits for the Blazers, who improved to 23-4 on the season.
Third-ranked UHA is scheduled to play Ryle tonight and then take on Lexington Tates Creek and No. 24-ranked Scott County on Saturday. All three games will be in Lexington.
