No. 14 South Warren holds off No. 17 Christian County

The Christian County Colonels suffered their first high school baseball loss of the season with a 5-3 defeat to host South Warren on Saturday. 

The 14th-ranked Spartans scored two in the bottom of the fifth and made the lead hold. 

The Spartans scored a single run in the first inning and pushed its lead to 3-0 after three innings.

The Colonels rallied with three runs in the top of the fourth to tie the game.

Chase Fort led Christian County at the plate with a two-run single. Sebastian Dazey also had a RBI-single in the third.

The 17th-ranked Colonels fall to 2-1 on the year and will play Tuesday at Madisonville-North Hopkins.
