New bridge set to be constructed on New Hope Road in Trigg County

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans an extended closure of New Hope Road in southern Trigg County starting Wednesday, February 28.

According to a news release, KY 525, or New Hope Road, will be closed at mile point 4.397 to allow construction of a new bridge over Potts Creek.  This is along New Hope Road between Prather Road and Jack Humphries Road and just over a mile north of the KY 1253 intersection.

This section of KY 525 is expected to close promptly at 8 a.m. on February 28.  The contractor has up to 90 days to remove the existing Potts Creek Bridge and construct a new bridge.

There will be no marked detour.
