An investigation is underway after the body of a Tennessee man was found along the bank of the Cumberland River in Lyon County on Monday.
According to a news release, troopers responded to the area of McKinney Road in Kuttawa, where the caller had located a body along the bank of the river. Troopers were able to locate the deceased, who was identified as 37-year-old Darrion Young of Nashville. A missing person investigation had already been under way for Young, after a vehicle connected to Young was found abandoned on the I-24 Cumberland River Bridge on March 13.
During the investigation into the disappearance of Young, officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department had gone to an address in Nashville to make contact with the owner of the vehicle, and located a deceased woman at that location.
Young was named as a murder suspect in her death and is believed to have been operating the vehicle found on the I-24 bridge.
No foul play is suspected in Young’s death, though an autopsy is scheduled to take place later this week. The investigation remains ongoing.
