Murray man charged with wanton endangerment, attempted cruelty to animals

A Murray man was arrested Tuesday night following an altercation in Calloway County that involved a knife. 

According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a residence on Kirksey-Almo Road for reports of a disturbance around 8 p.m. where 18-year-old Steven Frantz of Murray was reportedly in a physical altercation with family members.

Upon arrival of deputies, he allegedly was armed with a knife in the yard. He was taken into custody without incident. 

Frantz is charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, attempted second-degree cruelty to animals and two counts of fourth-degree assault.
