Muhlenberg County jumped out to a 24-6 lead and never looked back as the Lady Mustangs crushed visiting Hopkinsville 69-40 Thursday night in a girls’ high school basketball game.
Serenity Ewing scored 11 points and grabbed 18 rebounds and Dominique Allensworth added 10 points for the Lady Tigers, who fell to 1-7 on the season.
Muhlenberg ended a five-game losing streak with the victory. Rachel Evans and Brinley Sparks each scored 14 points to lead the Lady Mustangs (3-5).
Hoptown returns to action Tuesday night at Owensboro.
