Moving Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall in Oak Grove through Labor Day

Saturday morning, officials from city and county governments made a visit to the Moving Wall—a replica of the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. as it made a stop in Oak Grove.

The event is a tribute to the brave men and women who served our nation during the Vietnam War. Oak Grove Mayor Jackie Oliver was joined by Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. Knight and Christian County Judge-Executive Jerry Gilliam, as they paid their respects to the fallen heroes whose names are etched into this traveling monument, bringing a piece of our national history to the community.

The visit acted as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our veterans and the importance of honoring their legacy.

The Moving Wall will be in Oak Grove through Labor Day before moving on, located at the American Legion Post 233 building.
