Movies at the Alhambra returns in June with stacked line up

The Pennyroyal Arts Council is preparing for the return of their Movies at the Alhambra season, set to begin in June.

All movie showings are offered free of charge to the public, thanks to numerous sponsors, and during last year’s season, over 2,000 kids and their families enjoyed the showing of several popular movies. This year, it all kicks off on June 16 with a showing of A Minecraft Movie at 10 a.m. followed by Wicked: For Good at 6:30 p.m.

Then on June 23, its The Sandlot at 10 a.m. with Avatar: Fire and Ash to follow at 6:30 p.m. Zootopia 2 will show on June 30, followed by Fantastic Four: First Steps, with the final summer movies playing on July 7. Those will be the live action How to Train Your Dragon and the Jurassic World: Rebirth.

But the movies are done yet—they return on September 29 with Hamnet at 6:30 p.m. and then Academy Award winner Sinners will show on Halloween at 6:30 p.m. The move Joy will play on November 24 and then it’s a holiday marathon on December 22, with The Nightmare Before Christmas at 9 a.m., National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation at 12 p.m. and then it wraps up with It’s a Wonderful Life at 6:30 p.m. that day.

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is sponsoring goody bags for all 10 a.m. kids’ movies, with the first 50 children in attendance receiving a bag.
