The Missoula Children’s Theatre is coming to town and is inviting youth in community with an interest in live theater to audition for a production of “Hercules.”
The theatre troop is based in Missoula, Montana and members travel around the country to provide theater experiences for children. Students from kindergarten to twelfth-grade are invited to audition for the chance to play Hercules himself; philosophers such as Socrates and Aristotle or Greek mythological figures such as Zeus, Hera, Androcles and Helen of Troy.
Auditions are from 3:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on January 27 at the Indian Hills Elementary School gymnasium. No preparation is necessary ahead of auditions and the theatre provides all costumes, scenery and props.
On each day following the audition, rehearsals will be from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and then the show will be live at the Alhambra Theatre on February 1. For more information contact the Pennyroyal Arts Council at 270-887-4295.
