The Merry Little Market is coming back to the Clayton Building and this Sunday the community is invited to the Santa Claus and Furry Paws donation event to support some local pet rescue agencies through the winter season.
The market is made up of local vendors and small businesses and is hosted weekly at the Clayton Building. Patty Cooper, the owner of Starbird Gourmet Popcorn and So Much More is one of the market’s organizers and says they are inviting folks to shop local and to also donate to Moving Mountains for Mastiffs, Haven 12:10 Animal Sanctuary and Max’s Hope Pet Rescue.
At the market, the pet rescue agencies will have donation wish lists which include dog toys, treats, cat litter, cleaning supplies and much more. The agencies will also have their own vendor booths and will be offering pet nail trimmings in exchange for pet supplies.
Cooper says the pet rescue agencies have been supporters of her business so she’s happy to be able to return the favor and support the animals.
Cooper says the market is also a great chance to support local vendors and to do some last-minute shopping. Santa Claus will also be at the market and Cooper says he may be giving out some freebies.
The market and donation event are set for Sunday at the Clayton Building from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The full donation wish lists are below.
