Memphis man injured in Hopkinsville crash

A Tennessee man was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, it happened around 2:30 p.m. when a vehicle driven by 16-year-old Evelyn Gaspar-Torres of Hopkinsville attempted to make a right turn from a parking lot in the 2900 block onto the Boulevard, and reportedly didn’t see anyone coming.

As she was attempting to get into the left lane, the vehicle collided with a vehicle operated by 54-year-old Tyrone Wilson of Memphis, Tennessee.  Wilson told officers he attempted to avoid a collision but was unsuccessful.

Wilson was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
