Former Hopkinsville High School pitcher Easton McGee is back in Milwaukee after getting the call Monday from the Brewers.
McGee, who started the season with the Brewers’ Triple-A affiliate Nashville, was called up to the parent club briefly last month and made one relief appearance. He tossed one inning of relief and struck out one while not allowing a hit or walk.
At some point, the 6-foot-6 right-hander was sent back to Nashville.
McGee’s father, Mark, posted on his Facebook page Tuesday that Easton was on a plane headed for Milwaukee Tuesday morning.
Before last month, McGee last pitched in the Majors in 2023 with the Seattle Mariners. In his only start, he went 6 2/3 innings and didn’t allow a run. After the game, arm tightness led to McGee needing Tommy John surgery.
He has been battling to get back into the big leagues ever since. He was signed by the Brewers in 2024 and has pitched the 2024 and most of 2025 with the Sounds.
