Griffin McCoy had a hat trick and the host University Heights Academy Blazers defeated Paducah Tilghman 3-1 Thursday night in a boys’ high school soccer match.
McCoy’s goals all came in the first 18 minutes and were assisted by Hugh Sisk and Logan Miller.
The Tornado scored in the final 25 minutes on a PK.
Eli Finch had a pair saves in goal for the Blazers, who next play Monday at Lyon County.
