The Lyon County Lyons are the Touchstone Energy All “A” State Basketball Tournament champions for the first time after holding off Region 5 champion Caverna 49-46 Sunday in Owensboro.
The Lyons advanced to the title game with a 60-53 victory over Newport earlier in the day.
Covington Holy Cross defeated Owensboro Catholic 60-42 to win the girls’ All “A” state basketball title on Sunday.
