School is out for the summer and the Hopkinsville-Christian County YMCA is hosting various activities to engage with children and their parents.
Dee Trammell from the YMCA appeared on WHOP to share what’s all going down at the nonprofit. Trammell says the YMCA is busy this summer and registrations their summer camps and aqua classes are currently open.
Along with the classes Trammell says they are providing swim lessons, daily meals to children and tutoring.
Trammell says the YMCA is good spot for parents who may want to work out because the nonprofit offers childcare.
The YMCA also has its Parent’s Night Out program available every Friday night where workers provide childcare to give parents an evening to themselves.
Trammell also shared that they are planning to host a kid’s pool party on July 19. Parents and guardians can register their children at hopkinsvilleymca.org.
Trammell says as always, they are open for membership and shared that some supplemental health insurance companies will cover member’s fees. More information about what the YMCA has on the agenda for this summer can be found at their new Facebook page Hopkinsville Family YMCA.
