Local students to be presented with prestigious State FFA Degrees

The Kentucky Future Farmers of America Association is recognizing outstanding students of agriculture across the state, including quite a few locally.

The State FFA Degree is named one of the highest honors a member of the FFA can receive, and the Association is set to bestow that honor to over 500 members on Thursday during the 96th Kentucky FFA State Convention.

Officials say these members have shown exceptional commitment to their Supervised Agricultural Experiences, leadership development and FFA involvement. 

From Christian County High School, a State FFA Degree will be presented to Talan Ezell, Megan Hale, Micah Hook, Noah Hook, Caleb Moss, Evan Myers, Cheyanna Rodgers, Tyler Stokes, Anna Westerfield and Lillian Westerfield.

From Hopkinsville High School, the recipients are Brianna Gregory, Aiden King and Mollie Goode.

From Todd County Central High School, degrees will go to Adlynn Brown, Meredith Carter, Abby Greenfield, Madi Harrison, Emma Nichols, Johnny Skipworth, Mollie Skipworth and Nakeya Smith. 

Representing Trigg County High School, those earning degrees will be Ethan Curling, Krislyn Moore and Jennie Watts.

Then in Hopkins County, they’ll present degrees to Westin Baldwin, Mason Brown, Hayden Crick, Landon Herring, Jessica Lawless, Mattie Reynolds, Madasyn Bennett, William Blake, Savannah Crick, Alexavier Garrott, Hailey Holmes, Cooper Riley Peyton and Madelyn Simpson. 

Logan County will be represented by Chaney Barrow, Madelyn Burgess, Jaylin Cassetty, Hannah Hallman, Ian Johnson, Lillian Robey, Sophee Spears and Delaney Wright—in Lyon County, is Rhyan Stephen and Addie Walker.
