The Christian County School Board approved changes to the staff formula for the 2024-2025 school year to accommodate for sixth grade moving back to the middle schools at a special called meeting on Tuesday.
The staff formula focuses on where and how many staff are allocated to certain positions at district facilities. Staffing allocation has to be approved by March 1; a deadline set by the Kentucky Department of Education.
With student body increases set for the middle schools, Christian County Superintendent, Chris Bentzel says the middle schools will have a minimum of two assistant principals and high schools will have a minimum of three assistant principals instead of four.
Along with the assistant principal distribution change, Bentzel also noted that funding for kindergarten was reallocated now that kindergarten is state funded.
The board unanimously approved the staffing formula for the 2024-2025 academic year.
