Memorial Day is fast approaching on May 26, and there are ceremonies taking place that day where you can stop and pay your respects.Â
In Crofton, the city’s Veterans Memorial Service will take place in the North Christian Veterans Memorial Park at 10 a.m. at 101 East Mill Street in Crofton. The service will have Fort Campbell support to honor the men and women who have answered the call that we might live in the greatest nation in the world.
Then in Hopkinsville, the Veterans of Foreign War Post 1913 will host their annual Memorial Day services on Monday, starting with the first service at 9 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery, where Christian Circuit Judge John Atkins will be the keynote speaker.
Then a second service will take place at 11 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, where the keynote speaker will be General Travis McIntosh.
The VFW will host a lunch at the VFW location on VFW Drive off of Skyline Drive in Hopkinsville, where everyone is welcome.
