School’s out and that means summer high school basketball.
For the next three days, most of the area high school boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will be playing in The Grind Session at the Planters Bank Jennie Stuart Health SportsPlex.
The action begins this afternoon with games beginning at 4 p.m. and running through 10 p.m.
Tuesday’s games begin at 4 p.m. and run through 9 p.m. and Wednesday’s games are from 4 p.m. through 10 p.m.
On the boys’ side, Christian County, Hopkinsville, and University Heights Academy will have varsity, JV, and freshmen teams in the event. Fort Campbell, Todd County Central, and Madisonville-North Hopkins also will join the fray.
Other boys’ teams include Clarksville Northeast, Allen County-Scottsville, Bowling Green, Webster County, and Murray.
Schools represented in girls’ play include Christian County, Hopkinsville, Hopkins County Central, and Madisonville. Other teams include Calloway County, Mayfield, Graves County, Daviess County, Henderson County, Clarksville Northeast, and Crittenden County.
Admission is $5 per day and no outside food or drink is allowed inside the SportsPlex.
