Local Grand Jury issues indictments for endangerment, drug trafficking

A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for wanton endangerment, assault and drug trafficking-related crimes on Friday.

Twenty-eight-year-old Dequavian Walton of Hopkinsville was arrested for wanton endangerment on November 13. He was allegedly found to be in possession of multiple types of marijuana, bottles of codeine and drug paraphernalia following the execution of a search warrant.

Walton was indicted for three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in synthetic drugs, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Twenty-four-year-old Michael Epperson of Hopkinsville was arrested for drug trafficking on November 22 after he was reportedly found to be in possession of multiple controlled substances and a stolen firearm following a warrant execution.

Epperson was indicted for three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana while armed, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thirty-seven-year-old Anthony Mixon of Hopkinsville was arrested for drug trafficking and receiving stolen property following a search warrant that reportedly unveiled that Mixon was in possession of methamphetamine and a stolen motorcycle.

Mixon was indicted for three counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper registration plates and prohibited alteration of a VIN number.

Thirty-two-year-old Karl Bailey of Hopkinsville was arrested for a reported domestic assault incident that happened in June. Bailey was indicted for first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
