The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced upcoming lane restrictions for KY 70 in Muhlenberg County as contractors work to remove debris from the demolished Peabody Coal Railroad Bridge.
The bridge was demolished in late June after it was damaged in a recent wreck. The debris removal will begin on Thursday at the 11.33-mile point of KY 70 and is set to be completed by August 6.
During the debris removal, at least one lane on the roadway will be open and motorists should anticipate seeing flaggers and traffic control signs near the closure.
