Heritage Christian Academy took over first place in the District 8 volleyball standings with a convincing straight set win over visiting Hopkinsville Tuesday night.
Mya Goodwin led the Lady Warriors to a 25-5, 25-11, 25-13 win with nine kills, seven aces and two digs.
The Lady Warriors never trailed the first set and led most of the second set.
Hopkinsville (1-3, 0-2), led 2-0 in the third set but HCA countered and was never threatened.
Katie Cansler added seven kills and Makenzie McCarty added four kills for the Lady Warriors. Bralee Fowler had four blocks and three kills and Allie Craft added four digs and a kill.
Hopkinsville’s statistics were not available.
HCA returns to action Thursday night at Christian County. Hopkinsville will play host to Fort Campbell on Thursday.
