The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers placed four runners in the top 12 and took first place in the Christian County High School Cross Country Invitational Saturday at the Hopkinsville Community College.
Lauren Mayes was fourth at 23:27.20, followed by Alexis Herrera Leveto in eighth at 24:13.30, Rebecca Wood (10th, 25:46) and Kaydon Coats, who was 12th in 26:10.40.
The Lady Tigers won the meet with 36 points, followed by Northwest with 53 and Dawson Springs with 63.
Other Lady Tigers competing included Evelyn Bangart (18th, 27:24), Luanna Acree (40th, 36:14.10) and Maleigha Henderson (43rd, 37:39.10).
Murray’s Jade Green won the individual championship, crossing the finish line in 21:35.70.
Meanwhile, Hopkinsville’s Tyson Cavinder was fifth in the boys’ invitiational at 18:24.20. The Tigers did not have a team in the event.
Other Tigers in the race included Savior Davis (21st, 20:11.70) and Fernando Ginez Rojas (129th, 31:01.90).
University Heights Academy’s Cole Glover won the boys’ meet with a time of 17:20.30.
