Lady Tigers’ Davis commits to Motlow State

Hopkinsville High School guard Alicia Davis announced via Twitter on Wednesday that she has committed to Motlow State Community College in Tennessee.

Davis, a 5-foot-3 senior, told WHOP at the team’s practice on Wednesday afternoon, that the school fit better with her skill set and she felt it was a good fit.

Davis said she chose Motlow State over Volunteer State and Rend Lake among other junior colleges.

Hopkinsville’s star guard leads the Lady Tigers in scoring at 13.6 points per game and also is the team’s top 3-point shooter, making 33.3 percent from long range. She is third on the team in rebounding at 5.1 per game.  

The Lady Tigers (10-11) will play Christian County (16-9) for the District 8 Basketball Tournament championship tonight at 6 at Hopkinsville High School.
