Lady Rockets turn up defense, turn back Lady Colonels

The Christian County Lady Colonels struggled in the second half and fell to host Crittenden County 59-41 Thursday night in a girls’ high school basketball game.

Christian County led 15-14 after one quarter only to see the Lady Rockets take a 26-19 halftime advantage. Crittenden, which won for the sixth straight time, pushed its lead to 45-25 entering the fourth quarter and cruised the rest of the way.

Carliah Hobson was the only Lady Colonel in double figures with 10 points.

Christian County was playing its first game in nearly two weeks and only its fifth game in the calendar year, and dropped to 7-8 on the season. The Lady Colonels are back in action tonight at Caldwell County.

Crittenden County improved to 17-4 on the season.
