Playing in their third game in three days, the Christian County Lady Colonels struggled in the second quarter and dropped a 53-40 girls’ high school basketball game to host McCracken County Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Mustangs, who are coached by former Trigg County High School star Scott Sivills, outscored Christian County 18-8 in the second quarter to take control of a close game.
Ne’Vaeh Day led the Lady Colonels (3-3) with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Anaysia Bagwell had three 3-pointers and finished with 10 points.
Christian County committed 19 turnovers in the game, which also helped the Lady Mustangs grab the win.
DaNiya Bradley had a strong game for the Lady Colonels with eight points and eight rebounds.
Christian County will take on Bowling Green Tuesday night in a girls’/boys’ doubleheader. Airtime for the F&M Bank Pregame Show is 5:45 p.m.
