Christian County pitchers teamed to toss a two-hitter and Avery Adcock and Jazzy Tejada slammed home runs to send Christian County to an 11-0 high school softball win over Murray Tuesday on Senior Night at Lady Colonel Field.
Christian County honored Adcock, JaKayla Grubbs, and Jada Miller before the game.
Then the Lady Colonels said goodbye to the Murray Tigers. Christian County scored five runs in the first inning taking advantage of five walks, an error, and a single by Chloe Almy.
The Lady Colonels (16-12) added a solo run in the second and three more runs in the third to push the lead to 9-0. They ended the game in the fifth as Almy had a run-scoring double and Christian County took advantage of two Lady Tigers’ errors to plate a pair of runs.
Alyssa Petterson, Alexis Epps, Adcock, and Jordan Turner teamed to strike out eight Murray batters and allowed no walks on the day.
The Lady Colonels are scheduled to return to action Thursday at Caldwell County.
