Christian County High School will be the host for the 2024 Lady Colonel Soccer Showcase Saturday at the Stadium of Champions. But, the Lady Colonels will not be playing in the event.
CCHS Athletic Director Trey Wheeler said because several teams withdrew from the event, the Lady Colonels were left without an opponent and will not take the field.
The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with Madisonville-North Hopkins playing Trigg County, followed at 11 by Greenwood against Ohio County and at 1 p.m. by Logan County taking on Hopkinsville.
The second round of games begins at 3 p.m. with Madisonville playing Greenwood in a matchup of two of the better teams in regions 2 and 4, respectively. Logan County will play Trigg County at 5 p.m. and Hopkinsville will take on Ohio County at 7 p.m.
