The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that the closure on KY 818 in Lyon County is now expected to last until around August 1 after work was initially expected to last five days.
KY 818, between U.S. 62 and Dulaney Road closed Monday to allow for crews to replace a pipe. The closure has since been extended so that additional utility work can be completed in the area.
There is no marked detour.
