The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced their plans to close a section of KY 373 in Lyon County on Wednesday to allow for a cross drain to be replaced.
A news release from the Cabinet shares that KY 373 will close between Dyer and Glen Chapel Roads starting at 8:30 a.m. and the road will open back up to traffic by 1 p.m. that day.
Once the cross drain is replaced, the Cabinet says they will only open one lane for traffic on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday so that work can be addressed on the shoulder of the road and so a riprap can be installed as well. Â
The Cabinet advises for motorists to be alert of rough pavement that will be on the road following excavation before a permanent asphalt cap is laid.
The Cabinet will provide a time notice of when KY 373 will fully reopen.
