As a lot of folks are gearing up for the big game on Sunday, including traveling to parties and events across the Commonwealth, Kentucky State Police is urging folks to stay aware and safe on area roadways.
To help facilitate that, KSP will be participating in Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort, or CARE, operations the weekend of February 8, with Sunday the Super Bowl itself. Troopers say you can help them out in their efforts by helping to reduce traffic-related injuries, by making sure you’re buckling up and putting that phone down while you’re behind the wheel.
Folks are urged to arrange proper transportation, especially if you plan to drink any alcohol, make sure you slow it down and leave plenty of space between vehicles and keep an eye out for others in the road, whether that be other vehicles or maybe pedestrians.
Motorists who witness another person driving impaired are asked to contact local law enforcement.
