Kentucky State Police and law enforcement in Hopkins County are asking for the public’s help to locate a fugitive who fled from the scene of a collision Wednesday.
According to a news release from KSP, the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department requested KSP’s assistance after 45-year-old Jonathan Ray Ruby of White Plains fled from the scene following a physical altercation when deputies arrived.
Ruby is described as a white male standing around 6’1 and weighing around 260 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing camo pants, a red shirt and a black jacket.
He is considered armed and dangerous—multiple warrants are currently out for his arrest on the charges of fleeing or evading police, trafficking in a controlled substance and parole violations. Anyone with information on at 270-676-3313.
Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Kentucky State Police, Kentucky State Police Aircraft Branch, Madisonville Police Department, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Kentucky State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle.
