KSP charges Caldwell Co. man with child exploitation offenses

Kentucky State Police have charged a Caldwell County man with child sexual exploitation offenses following an undercover investigation. 

According to a news release, 42-year-old Jarrett Wesley Collins as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation with the Electronic Crime Branch. The investigation began after it was discovered he was sharing images of child exploitation online. 

Collins is facing ten counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old and ten counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old. 

The investigation resulted in a search warrant at a residence in Princeton on December 13. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination and the investigation remains ongoing.
