KSP arrest Nortonville man for Muhlenberg County shooting

Kentucky State Police arrested 62-year-old Harvey Lear of Nortonville for a reported shooting in Muhlenberg County on Saturday that left a Todd County man injured.

According to a report, Kentucky State Police responded to the area of Beech Creek Road where multiple callers reported seeing a man with a firearm making threats. Troopers found that Todd County man was shot and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Following preliminary investigation, troopers arrested Lear who is suspected of shooting the victim. Lear was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, tampering with physical evidence and the false reporting of an incident resulting in an emergency response.
