Kirkwood’s hot shooting dooms Blazers

University Heights Academy dropped an 87-61 high school basketball game to Clarksville Kirkwood on Saturday at Henderson County.

Kirkwood, which hit 10 three-pointers on the night, had little trouble scoring, taking a 44-23 halftime lead and pushing the lead to 71-44 after three quarters.

The Blazers fell to 1-8 on the season. Tylin George had 30 points and Elijah Walton added 23 for UHA.

The Blazers are back in action Saturday against Glasgow in the German American Bank Shootout at Bowling Green High School.
