Kentucky Realtors launch relief fund for storm victims

As many Kentuckians recover from Sunday’s storms, the Kentucky Realtors announced that they are partnering with the National Association of Realtors to offer a relief fund of $200,000 which is available to support those displaced as a result of their homes being damaged in the storms.

The relief funds are for mortgage payments, rental payments and lodging assistance.

According to a press release, the assistance is limited to one month of housing expenses and up to a maximum of $1,000 per household. Eligible residents are encouraged to apply for relief funds by the deadline of July 30.

Kentucky Realtors President, Pam Featherstone says they are dedicated to helping those impacted by damaging weather conditions throughout the commonwealth and want to make sure everyone has a safe place to call home.
