Oak Grove is gearing up for one of their three signature events, as the Kentucky Bands, Bourbon and Wine Festival takes over the War Memorial Walking Trail on July 25.
And it’s going to be a hopping event, with live music, friendly competition, a car show and food on hand. Speaking with WHOP recently, Oak Grove Tourism Executive Director Traci Cunningham they’re excited to bring another chance for good times to the community, and it all kicks off at 3 p.m. July 25.
It will bring the return of the Bourbon and Brakes Car Show, which Cunningham says was a big hit last year as they had roughly 40 classic cars on site for viewing.
Festival guests will have the opportunity to sample and purchase products from Kentucky wineries, distilleries, and breweries, while enjoying live performances from talented regional bands throughout the evening. Food trucks and specialty vendors will also be on hand.
New this year, festival goers will be able to vote on their favorite beverages and vendors, with the winner presented with a trophy for their bragging rights.
And of course, they’ll have live music through the bulk of the day, and Cunningham bragged on their musical artists this year, which are rock vocalist Mike Sandilla, country music artist Savannah Dean Reeves and the band Kentucky Just Us.
Keep the pets at home this time around, and no outside alcohol will be allowed into the festival. Make sure to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the music.
