The Raising Hope Program will offer safety demonstrations and health screening at the 2025 National Farm Machinery Show to encourage physical and mental health.
Raising Hope is an extension of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) and was created to promote Kentucky’s farmers’ physical and mental health and safety.
The KDA’s focus for this year’s farm machinery show emphasizes safe practices around farm equipment, road safety and grain bin accident prevention. They will also offer health screenings for blood sugar, blood pressure and hearing from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell says, “For years, KDA has offered world-class safety and rescue demonstrations. Recently, with our Raising Hope program, we also began focusing on the health aspect of our agriculture producers. Adding health screenings during the National Farm Machinery Show allows us to fulfill our mission and promise of advocating for healthy farming communities.”
This year’s show is set for February 12 through the 15 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
