The Jennie Stuart Health Foundation is celebrating after a successful private donor event that highlighted the fundraising efforts taking place to benefit the E.C. Green Cancer Center.
The capital campaign was launched in August of 2023, and a private donor preview event was held last Friday for an evening centered around showing appreciation for the generous donors whose contributions of significantly impacted the fundraising efforts.
The money raised will go to benefit efforts to greatly enhance patient comfort, including amenities such as heated and massage recliners, a hospitality station and valet services.
The Foundation had a goal of raising $1.5 million—but by the end of the event, campaign co-chairs Kelley Workman and Dr. Ratilal Gajera announced that they raised $2 million, thanks to the generosity of their donors. They said, “Every gift received through this Capital Campaign was significant in helping us meet our goal. Thank you for helping to ensure that no one has to travel far from home to receive outstanding cancer care in a beautiful state-of-the-art facility.”
During the evening’s program, some donors received grateful recognition of their gifts through permanently named spaces within the Center.
