An assault investigation is underway after the Hopkinsville Police Department was called the hospital for a person with injuries early Saturday morning.
According to the police report, officers were called to Jennie Stuart Medical Center after a male victim in his 30’s came in looking for treatment to injuries to the head. Investigation determined that an unknown woman had hit the victim in the head with what may have been a glass bottle, causing a severe laceration to his head and possibly an internal injury.
He also sustained several minor cuts to the face.
No arrests have yet been made and the incident is being investigated as second-degree assault.
