Industrial park projects in Christian, Todd Counties to receive state funding

Governor Andy Beshear announced on Thursday that 18 communities across Kentucky, including Christian and Todd Counties, will receive around $12.4 million in state funding to support industrial site development projects.

The funds were granted through the Kentucky Product Development Initiative which provides funding to support industrial projects that promote job growth.

According to a news release, the Hopkinsville Industrial Foundation will receive $1.7 million to improve the rail infrastructure at Commerce Park II. Then, the Todd County Industrial Foundation will receive $1.1 million to prepare two 100,000-foot building pads at the John E. Walton Business Park.

Beshear congratulated the recipients and said Kentucky’s speed-to-market efforts are one of many business-friendly elements that separate the commonwealth from its competitors, and why businesses continue to choose this state to locate and invest in.
