HPD investigating bomb threat at Armed Forces Recruiting Center

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating a bomb threat that shut down a section of Fort Campbell Boulevard Thursday afternoon. 

According to the police report, staff with the Armed Forces Recruiting Center received a call from a suspect around 2 p.m. where the individual threatened to “blow up” the building. The building was closed, as was the Boulevard, for a short time as police investigated. 

A suspect is redacted on the report, and the incident is being investigated as first-degree terroristic threatening, which is a felony.
