HPD investigating after man shot in leg

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating after a man was shot early Saturday morning.

The 31-year-old male victim had been walking himself to Jennie Stuart Medical Center when he called 911 for help, according to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers, who says the victim sustained a gunshot wound the leg.

He was transported the rest of the way to Jennie Stuart, and the wound was believed to be non-life-threatening.

It’s possible the shooting occurred during some sort of domestic dispute, but the investigation continues.
