Hoptown’s Lauren Mayes loves the Madisonville Classic cross country course. She loves it so much that she defended her 2024 title by winning the 2025 race on Saturday.
Mayes ran the course in a time of 21:20.42 to beat 53 other runners to the finish line.
The Lady Tigers’ Alexis Herrera-Lovato medaled in 10th place and Luanna Acree took 31st.
In the boys’ race, Hopkinsville placed two runners in the top 10 out of 108 runners.
Tyson Cavinder medaled with a fifth-place finish and Savior Davis ran seventh to earn a medal.
Fernando Ginez Rojas finished 47th.
