The Hopkinsville Tigers will get in their final football scrimmage of the season tonight when they travel to Louisville to face Fairdale.
The Tigers played Russellville to a 14-14 tie last week in the first scrimmage of the year.
Hoptown coach Dustin Lopez said the Tigers need to improve on their tackling and cleaning up some play on defense tonight.
He also is looking for better play from his offensive and defensive line tonight.
Lopez said he and his staff were impressed with how the Tigers responded last week when they needed a score and they put a touchdown on the board near the end of practice.
However, he said there are more improvements he would like to see before going to Greenwood next week to start the regular season. Tops on his list is stopping the run and getting his run game going.
Tonight’s scrimmage is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. local time.
